play

Goal

To collect the cards as sequences from King down to Ace.

Buttons

New Game - Click to start a new game of Spider solitaire.
Undo - Click to undo the last move. There are an unlimited number of undos available.
Hint - Click to show one possible move available on the board. The button disappears if no recommended moves are available.

Difficulty Levels

Single Suit - Easiest to win
Two Suits - A little bit harder to win
Four Suits - A very difficult game.

Game Layout

Piles - There are 10 piles across the top of the table. Most of the play occurs on these piles.
Reserve Stack - Located at the bottom right, this stack of extra cards remain here until they are distributed onto the piles.
Collection Stack - Located at the bottom left, this stack contains all the completed King-to-Ace sequences.

Card Movement

The bottom faceup card may be dragged from any pile to an empty pile, or onto a pile whose bottom face up card's value is one higher than the card being moved. For example, a 10 may be moved onto a Jack; An Ace unto to a 2.

Stack Movement

A stack of sequenced cards of the same suit may be dragged from any pile to an empty pile, or onto a pile whose bottom face up card's value is one higher than the card being moved. For example, a 6,7,8,9,10 sequences may be moved onto a Jack of any suit.

Collection of Cards

Cards are automatically collected when a sequence of the same suit from King-to-Ace is completed.

Reserve Cards

When no more moves are available, the reserve deck may be clicked on to deal another set of face up cards.

Scoring

Scoring always begins at 500. One point is deducted for each move of a card or stack. 100 points are awarded for the collection of a King-to-Ace sequence.
